DESCRIPTION:

FF-18 RC Model Designed by: Jon McCarty of the Bloody Micks
This RC model is loosely based on the F/A-18 used by the US Navy. The original RC model design was made with Foamboard and covered with colored sealing/packing tape. Other materials such as Depron and Fan Fold Foam may be used to make this model.

 

BASIC RC MODEL NOTES:

  • Wing Span: 25.88 Inches (65.74cm)

  • Length: 36.7 Inches (93.22cm)

  • AUW: 25 Ounces (708.75gm) (As Built with Foamboard, Depron or Fan Fold will result in much lighter model)

  • Servos: 3 Micro (Metal Gear Recommended)

  • Motor: 2212/6 for Basic Setup (Grayson Hobbies Super Mega Jet for Performance Setup)

  • Speed: 50mph to 70+mph (80.5kph to 112kph) depending on motor used

  • Required Radio: Minimum 4-Channel (Recommended 2.4ghz)

  • Flight Skill Required: Intermediate to Advanced

  • Building Skill Required: Beginner to Intermediate
